When is my movie due back?

Movies are due back by 9:00 p.m. on the day following the rental day.

What if I keep the disc(s) more than the initial rental period.

No problem. You will be charged up to 6 nights rental at the rate noted at the kiosk. If disc is not returned by 9:00 p.m. on the 7th day following the initial rental day, your rental will be converted to a sale and you will be charged $25 + tax for DVDs and $30+tax for Blu-ray discs.

What if I return the disc after 9:00 p.m. on the day following the initial rental?

You will be charged a second night's rental rate as stated at the kiosk.

What if the disc is damaged, scratched, or won't play?

Please return disc to kiosk before 9:00 p.m. the following day. This will stop charges beyond first night rental on your credit card. PLEASE email us at "janet@expresscinema.ca and let us know the problem. We will "freeze" the movie so no one else rents and we will set up movie rental credits to compensate you. We really appreciate your customer support in this regard.

What should I do if the rental kiosk is out of service when I try to return my disc(s)?

Please give the disc(s) to the location staff and EMAIL/PHONE Express Cinema. You will not be charged incremental rentals. If the system does charge, a credit will be posted to offset.

How do I rent a movie from the kiosk?

It's very simple. Follow the directions on the video screen of the machine.

How many movies or disc(s) can I rent at one time?

On your initial visit to the machine (or the first time you use a new credit card), you can rent a maximum of 3 discs. Repeat customers may rent up to 5 discs.

Will a Blu-ray disc play on my standard DVD player?

No. Blu-ray will only play on a Blu-ray player or a device that plays Blu-ray discs, like a Sony Playstation 3.

There are smudges on the disc. Is it OK to clean it?

All discs get dirty as they age. Please use rubbing alcohol or a solution of water and mild detergent. Please use a soft cloth and wipe from centre of disc out to edge. Never use abrasives, solvents or highly acidic cleansers.
